Employee of the Month - Meet Clair!

Our newest Employee of the Month is Clair from Legal! Congrats on your big win against the employees’ payroll dispute Clair! I know this may be a controversial award to some of you who emailed me, but I want you to know that I can both fully support you as a productive part of this company while still not caring to know what the difference is between a lawyer and a trampoline.

Greetings. I am Clair. While I am honored to receive this award, I am aware that the giver of the award, Corporate Ladder International, can rescind the award at their discretion, ala the whoopsie-doopsie corollary. I also acknowledge that at the end of 30 days, I am to keep my certificate, but give up my trophy, vis-à-vis the ring around the moonsy rule. I also understand that poor behavior will warrant the confiscation of my trophy and certificate, due to the precedent set in the “Did I do that?” Urkel/Winslow case.

Employee of the Month - Meet Michael!

It’s my pleasure to announce the Employee of the Month for June is none other than Michael Jordan from Customer Support. Michael is the point of contact for every customer issue and request. Think of him as the jacket placed over the puddle that keeps our shoes dry from our customer’s muddy opinions. Here’s a request Michael, tell us something about yourself!

I originally applied for a copy editing position but was told Customer Support was a great way to get my foot in the door. Support is fine, although I do get yelled at a lot via customer emails, phone calls, live chat, social media posts, social media direct messages, snail mail, faxes and the occasional walk-in that gets security. It used to really bother me but these days I feel pretty numb, which is fine.

Office Update 6/14/17

Please find the attached, updated company directory. We have gone ahead and removed employees from the directory who we plan to terminate later this week. This saves us time by not having to update the directory again and allows those employees to get a head start on their extended weekend plans.

We have ordered more building access cards. If you’re one of the many without one please email HR to be added to the list. If you have an access card please do not use it to open doors for others. Just assume anyone without a card is disgruntled, dangerous and possibly my ex-husband.

Congratulation to Garet H. Wilson for earning Employee of the Month! You may not recognize Garet by his name or face but he is actually kind of important around here. If your computer breaks just grab Garet. Can’t remember the Wifi password? Just grab Garet! You’d recognize him if you saw him. Here is Garet in his own words.

That's Dothraki for ‘Good Day, family of Corporate Ladder’ and I'm Garet. You might know me as captain of the SS HP OfficeJet Pro and all things tech. When I'm not fixing user errors, I am offering support for my paintball clan, Tanagra, with my accurate paintball grenade throws.

I am from Providence, RI, and received my Bachelor of Computer Information Systems from Quinnipiac University (and an English minor!).

Before CL, I worked the IT help desk at Menards as a Level 1 support specialist, where after a scant 17 months, I was promoted to a Level 2 support specialist.
